I don't get it.

Okay, so she plays Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl.

She's a model.

She has a band - The Pretty Reckless.

An amazing friend recommended her to me as a 'person to watch' so I thought I'd give her a shot.

She's certainly watch-able enough on Gossip Girl.

I heard that she formed a band a while ago but after releasing a demo CD decided to fire the entire band for not being the right sound for her. Then she finally put together this lot and got a record deal as soon as she was ready.

Already I'm a little apprehensive.

So anyway, I watched her video for her band.

"Miss Nothing".

Oh dear god.

The girl is 17.

She's 6 months older than me. That's it. 6 months!

Now I'm not one to be prude but what the hell?!

She practically writhes about on the table.

WHAT?!

Okay yes, she looks amazing. Her look is fantastic.

But why?!

Apparently she got axed from Gossip Girl because of 'creative differences'.

Yeah. We know what THAT means.

New Addiction?

So since I got back, I've banned myself from my previous guilty addictions.

Omgpop, the twilight books, cheesy rom-coms...

...And then I walked right into another one.

I tried out Gossip Girl. I was told it was good.

Didn't really get into the pilot episode but persevered anyway.

Maybe I shouldn't have.

I got hooked from about the 3rd episode. And now it's led me into a life of staying up to watch it until 6am because I just can't stop!

I'll say one thing. At least season 4 is coming out very soon.

I won't have to wait for ages.

Results

So yesterday was the day.

THE DAY.

GCSE results day.

Facebook was buzzing with it.

Everyone's panicking status updates of "Good Luck Guys!" and "I just know I did awfully"

And then there's always the smart-arse who posts something like "I know I'm getting full marks HA to all you commoners!"

But hey that's GCSEs for you.

Brings out different sides in people...

P.S. I didn't do too badly myself. 9A*s and 2As.

It's Eclipse time!!

So I went to see Eclipse with the lovely Emma Myers today. It's our tradition.

We go to see the twilight films on the day they come out. And we sit in the same seats. And we throw popcorn.

It's an amazing tradition.

I usually have to watch the film twice before I can form a proper opinion. The first time, I'm just comparing it to the book and picking holes in it to laugh about.

It's quite fun.

So I'm not quite sure about it as a film. But as a companion to the book?

Well they missed a lot out. And the special parts from the book they didn't miss out? Well, they weren't explained very well. They sort of ended up more as a special part for those who have read it that others wouldn't exactly understand...

But there's a lot to laugh at. There always seems to be. Unintentional funny.

It's usually at how ridiculously awful Robert Pattinson's acting is, especially with Kristen Stewart's ridiculous performance alongside it.

I'll say one thing, the cinema would most definitely have hated us by the end, after we burst out laughing at random moments.

At least Taylor Lautener was looking good :)

(or TLautz as... well no one calls him. I made it up as a compliment to RPattz and KStew ;) )

Though the dramatic music and slow motion as he made his entrance was a little too much...

Where's the Cougar in Cougar town?

So a few days ago I was just browsing the internet, trying to find something fun to watch...

And I found "Cougar Town".

It's a comedy with Courteny Cox as the lead.

Produced by Coquette Productions - her and her husband's company. (It's the Co from Courteney and the quette from David ;) )

It's a funny word xD

So I decided to watch it to try it out. And I liked it :)

I've finished the whole series and it was pretty good! The sort of light-hearted comedy that you can even half-watch and still understand.

One tiny gripe though...

The name? Cougar Town?

Where's the cougar?

Urban Dictionary defines a Cougar as:

An older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man. The cougar can be anyone from an overly surgically altered wind tunnel victim, to an absolute sad and bloated old horn-meister, to a real hottie or milf.

Now it might have just been me missing something blindingly obvious, but at no point does Courteney go clubbing and looking for younger guys...

If anyone's doing that, it's her neighbour Grayson - but then he's a guy so that doesn't count.

Perhaps they named it based on the pilot, which is the only indication to 'Cougarism' (i made up a word :) ) Though in the actual series she doesn't go looking for a guy at all. The script writers make anything like that come to her.

But, what else are they going to call it? "Woman in the suburbs"? "Divorced Mom's Coffee Club"? (I actually quite like the second xD though it would probably be a better film than TV show...)

But apart from that, I really liked it :)

At one point, they were watching TV and when the camera angle switched, I could see they were watching scrubs :D That gained a lot of love.

My house is a mess.

We're getting the builders in. And no euphemisms. We are literally getting people to come and fix things in our house :)

Brand new kitchen and bathroom and bedroom. It's all change!!

So of course that means we have to empty all those rooms and strip the wallpaper. Which would be fair enough under normal circumstances. Except I also have to get ready to go on a 5 week holiday. Yeah...

I have a feeling I won't be getting much sleep the night before...

Varying levels of friendship, of course.

Old, new, young, old...

But what do I do when I find out something about one of them

And I don't feel like I can be myself around them anymore?

What if I don't really want to be around or trust them anymore?

Or if I feel like I can't?

Someone I know turned out to be someone I would not like to be around.

Someone I trust turned out to be someone I would not like to be dependant on.

Ugh, I really wish that hadn't happened. Or I didn't know.

It would make this so much easier.

So there was the film "The Runaways" that was made with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning about Joan Jett. They were filming it about a year ago I think...

The twilight fanbase was buzzing with it. (twilight actors, of course)

But anyway so it was showcased in some film festivals in the USA in January or something and that was way before the official release date of 9th April.

So someone was talking about Joan Jett and I thought I'd check out the film on good old IMDB since I hadn't heard much about it here in jolly old England

Then I saw it.

The release date in the UK is...

...wait for it...

27th AUGUST!!!

What is that about?!?!

It's almost 5 months later!!

That's almost half a year!!!

That's not fair!!!

Why does America get everything earlier??
